Blog Theme: Intersectionality of Sexual Violence Against Women in India

Explanation:

Write a creative and engaging blog focusing on Indian judgements that incorporate a strong intersectional factor such as caste/community, religion, ethnicity, or disability. Reflect on how intersectionality significantly impacts cases of sexual violence against women.

Eligibility

The competition is open to students enrolled in any law college situated in India. 

There is no participation fee. 

Guidelines (Non-compliance will lead to disqualification):

  • Use Times New Roman, font size 12, justified alignment, and submit the blog in PDF format via this Google Form: 
  • Adhere strictly to the 1000-1200 word limit.
  • The blog must have a specific title. 
  • Only one blog per student is acceptable. 
  • AI-generated content or plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
  • Do not include footnotes; instead, use internal hyperlinks to reference sources.
  • The document must not include any personal details like the name, college name, etc. of the student. Any such inclusion will result in disqualification.
  • Any submission after the deadline will not be considered for evaluation. 

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Creative, argumentative and engaging writing style.
  • Legal accuracy and depth of analysis.
  • Accessibility of language, ensuring even a common reader can grasp the role and impact of intersectional factors in sexual violence cases against women.
  • Choice of cases: uniqueness, relevance, and strength of intersectional factors will earn additional marks.

Prizes:

  • Winner: ₹2,000 cash prize + E-certificate + blog publication on the HUMAN.DROITS website.
  • 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th positions: E-certificate + blog publication on the HUMAN.DROITS website.

Timeline:

Competition Announcement: January 21, 2025

Submission Deadline: February 2, 2025 (by 24:00 hours)

Results Announcement: March 5, 2025
